As we celebrate our rich cultural heritage and traditions, we have a wonderful opportunity to show our solidarity and support for those who work tirelessly to organize these meaningful events. We invite you to join us in two upcoming celebrations that hold deep significance for our community.

On *August 17th, we will gather at Victoria Park in Kincardine for the **Festival of India with Hindu Culture Open House, Raksha Bandhan*. This event is not just a celebration but a proud showcase of our roots, our values, and our vibrant traditions. It is a chance to come together, share our culture with the broader community, and inspire the next generation to take pride in who we are as well as demonstrate how our culture and people positively strengthen the Canadian Mosaic and economy. Free Food: samosa, pakora, jalebi, laddoo, milkcake, chai and …. – all you can eat!!

Then, on *August 26th, we will celebrate **Shri Krishna Janmashtami at the Underwood Community Centre 9:00 pm-12:30 am*, marking the divine birth of Lord Krishna. This sacred occasion invites us to reflect on the teachings and life of Lord Krishna, and how we can embody those values in our daily lives.

These events are not just for a few; they belong to all of us. They are a reflection of our collective identity and our shared responsibility to keep our traditions alive. We humbly appeal to you to take part, not only as attendees but as active participants. Whether through performances, volunteering, or simply bringing your family along, your involvement makes a difference.

Let us not rely on others to preserve our heritage. It is up to each of us to ensure that our culture thrives, that our stories are told in the community, and that our children grow up with a strong sense of pride in their roots and become a contributing citizen.
